The numbers (ex: 100, 400, 800, 3200) categorize the sensitivity of film to light. If you’re shooting in bright conditions, 100 or 400 would be ideal. If you’re shooting indoors or somewhere darker 800 or 3200 is best.
FILM LOVES LIGHT so make sure you’re exposing your film correctly - even in super dim conditions, 3200 would still still need some light to get ideal results.
The lower the number, the less grainy your film will be. The higher the number the grainier.
-
Color Film: Kodak Color Pluss 200, Kodak Ultramax 400
Black & White: Kentmere 400
-
Treat your film like a living thing - not too hot, not too cold and try to avoid too much humidity!
For long term storage (~ 3 years) we keep our film in the fridge just to be safe.
-
Yes we do!
We will let you know that old film / expired film could turn out blank or if it does turn out, there will be some color shifts and grain. We are more than happy to try and give you the best results.
If they are blank, we do not charge you for the scanning. We will not charge you for work that does not need to be done!
